Furniture Clinic Wood Oil has been designed to seal and protect bare wood as well as re-oiling wood to maintain it and build up protection. Wood Oil can be used on all interior and exterior wooden surfaces and dries to provide a lovely satin finish.

Wood Oil provides water resistance to all bare woods helping reduce staining and making the wood easier to clean and maintain.

Treated kitchen cupboards

The protective, water resistant, barrier provided by Wood Oil also makes it ideal for protecting and maintaining wood furniture used in the kitchen and dining areas, where spills and exposure to water and other liquids are a frequent hazard to unprotected surfaces.

Instruction

INSTRUCTIONSSTEP 1.Thoroughly clean the surface to remove all dirt and grime and allow the wood to dry. If the wood is stained, sand gently with fine sandpaper to remove the mark. Ensure the surface is free from dust by wiping it down with a tack cloth.STEP 2.Apply the Wood Oil onto a Lint Free Cotton Cloth and wipe over the wooden surface following the direction of the grain, leave for a few minutes and wipe off any surplus oil with the same cloth. Leave for between 4 – 6 hours for the oil to dry.If applying to bare wood, apply 3-5 thin coats of Wood Oil allowing the previous coat to thoroughly dry before applying the next.STEP 3.Wood Oil should be re-applied once a year for maintenance of furniture. For worktops, exterior wood or other woods heavily used, Wood Oil should be re-applied more regularly. When properly protected, Wood Oil will cause liquids to bead up on the surface in the form of globules; a good indication of when Wood Oil needs to be re-applied is when liquids start to lie flat on the surface instead of beading up.
